Cross Keys head west to Parc Y Scarlets to take on Llanelli in the Principality Premiership this Saturday. The Keys head there in confident mood having won their last 4 games against Bridgend, Aberavon, Swansea and last Saturday against Neath.
This fixture promises to be a cracker with both teams making an excellent start to the season although Llanelli have lost 2 games both on the road at Bridged and last Saturday at high-flying Bedwas.
Last season Keys managed to claim the treble over Llanelli. In the league at Pandy Park back in October 2011, Keys secured a bonus point win by 33 points to 20 crossing for 5 tries in the process. At Parc Y Scarlets in February of this year Keys had Steffan Jones to thank as he scored all the points for Keys in the narrowest of wins by 13 points to 12. The other fixture between the two sides last season was, of course the British & Irish cup quarter final played at Pandy Park back in January where Keys, thanks to a convincing 32-8 scoreline booked their place for a semi final showdown against Cornish Pirates (we all know happened in that game)!
Games against Llanelli are never easy, especially on their own turf and Keys, who continue to have mass injury problems will need to show the same form, if not better form than they have shown over the recent weeks.
