Match Preview

Carmarthen Qs v Cross Keys Principality Premier

Cross Keys travel West to Carmarthen to take on The Quins at the Parc in the Principality Premiership on Saturday.

The Quins have so far won 4 and lost 4 of their 8 league games so far this season. The victories have come at home over Cardiff (35-25) and Aberavon (31-29). Whilst on the road they have won at Bridgend (28-18) and last weekend over Swansea at St. Helens (41-17). The four defeats have been at Bedwas (16-22), at Neath (12-15) and home defeats to Pontypridd (16-24) and Newport (25-28).

The Quins victory at Swansea was an ironic one. It came just a week after Quins had triumphed at the Parc against the All Whites in The British & Irish cup by exactly the same scoreline (41-17)! In the league fixture at St Helens last week Quins points came from tries by Jason Harries, who bagged a hat-trick, Alex Pickersgill, Darren Daniel and Lee Williams whilst Jack Maynard kicked 4 conversions and a penalty.

With the injury situation slowly improving for Keys, they will be looking to bounce back following 3 defeats in a row and a repeat of last seasons victory at Quins wil do nicely.
