Ebbw Vale v Cross Keys Preview & Team News

Cross Keys head to Eugene Cross Park this evening (10/11/2017) for the latest Principality Premiership, Gwent derby clash against Ebbw Vale.

Back at Pandy Park in early September it was Keys who secured the honours as they defeated the Steelmen by 20 points to 12. Keys’ scores coming from tries by Nathan Trowbridge and James Leadbeater. Josh Prosser kicked both conversions as well as 2 penalties for Keys. The Steelmen’s scores came from a try apiece for Ronnie Kynes and Srdan Majkic with a solitary conversion from former Keys pivot Dai Langdon.

With Friday’s game in mind, Keys will be looking to build on last week’s impressive win at Bargoed whilst Ebbw will be looking to put a frustrating time behind them, following a heavy 45 points to 12 defeat at Pontypridd last time out.

The Cross Keys starting lineup for this evening’s game shows just one change to the side that started at Bargoed last week, Leon Andrews, who withdrew due to illness last week comes back in to the side to replace Joe Goodchild at full back. Goodchild looks set to be involved with the Dragons in their clash at Northampton in the Anglo Welsh Cup. Dragons Academy scrum half Callum Morris could make his debut for Keys as he is named amongst the replacements
