CROSS KEYS went third in the Principality Premiership after this closely fought battle in the wind and rain of Carmarthen Park.
It was their third consecutive win of the new season and much of it was down to the good planning of coaches Greg Woods and Mark Ring.
“We knew that weather forecast for Saturday and practiced our wet weather tactical kicking accordingly in training,” said backs coach Ring.
Bouts of torrential rain made handling difficult throughout and it was a clever kick from Quins fly-half Gareth Morgan that made a try for wing Jason Harries converted by full-back Rhys Jones, son of Kingsley Jones.
