Saturday's game is Keys final game of the season away from Pandy Park. Keys have spent the best part of 3 months away from home and signs of home sickness have perhaps shown in the form books as they have won only 2 of the 7 successive games on the road since February 8th. Keys will certainly be looking to end the season on a high starting with victory over the Ravens on Saturday afternoon.
in the season, in fact just the 2nd week in to the season Keys hosted
the Ravens in the sunshine at Pandy Park and ran out comfortable winners
by 35 points to 15 taking a bonus point in the process. For Keys
skipper Rob Nash, centre Luke Ford, wing Nathan Trowbridge and back row
man Jamie Sollis crossed for tries. Incidentally Jamie is making
brilliant progress in his continued recovery from the injuries he
suffered in the serious car crash he was involved in around Christmas
time. Jamie is now on crutches seemingly ahead of schedule and will no
doubt be cheering on his team mates in the final two games. Dean Gunter
kicked 3 conversions and 3 penalties in this victory over the Ravens.
For the Ravens full back Ross Jones kicked 5 penalties for his side.
So Keys are looking to end what has at times been a frustrating yet exciting season on a high note in the final two games although there is still an outside chance that Keys can qualify for the end of season play offs but they are heavily dependent on other teams results.
The team for Saturday is as follows and includes Monmouth School product Henry Palmer on the bench for Keys who covers Gerwyn Price who starts at hooker. Keys once again have a number of injury problems with the likes of Leon Andrews, Nathan Williams, Richard Cornock and Rhys Miller amongst those injured.
