Cross Keys bring the curtain down on what has been a disappointing 2018/19 campaign this evening (08/05/2019) when Pontypridd visit Pandy Park for a rearranged Principality Premiership clash.
The Keys started the season with the prime target of survival with relegation being introduced in the Principality Premiership. Sadly The Keys’ hopes of survival are a distant memory with Keys finishing the season way behind those who still have hopes of, at the very least securing a place in the end of season Principality Premiership play-off match versus deserved WRU Championship winners Pontypool later on this month. There can be no question of the effort and commitment made by most of the Keys’ squad for a majority of the campaign but that squad has often been disrupted by regional call ups, transfers, injuries and at times certain individuals commitment issues which has meant that consistency of selection has been difficult for head coach Morgan Stoddart, in particular and his coaching team who deserve a whole host praise for their efforts in trying times over the campaign.
The Keys have confirmed their team for this evening’s (Wednesday) game against Pontypridd which once again includes a number of players on permit and the club are extremely grateful to those clubs who have allowed their players to appear this evening.
The Cross Keys side in full is:-
