Cross Keys welcome TATA Steel to Pandy Park for this Saturday’s Specsavers National Championship clash.
The Keys have been hit with several key personnel all out injured including some of the more experienced members of an already youthful, inexperienced squad. Skipper Tom Lampard is set for a long spell on the sidelines after suffering a torn bicep in the closing minutes of the crushing defeat at Bargoed last Saturday. He is joined in the treatment room by Richard Cornock, who continues his recovery from a broken thumb, back row man Joe Thomas who went off at half time last weekend and wingers Wes Cunliffe who is nearing a comeback from an ankle injury and Dan Hitchings who suffered a leg injury last week at Bargoed. There is some good news on the injury front for Keys as Josh Adams is fit to return this week following his recent spell out with a hamstring problem.
With both skipper Tom Lampard and his vice captain Richard Cornock both missing the Keys will this week be captained by second row Scott Andrews, on permit from Cardiff. The Cross Keys side for Saturday’s game against TATA Steel in full is as follows:-
