Cross Keys face a tough task this Friday evening when they head to the Wern to take on current Principality Premiership leaders and reigning champions Merthyr in the latest Principality Premiership clash.
The Keys have confirmed the team that will make the trip to The Wern. In the pack there are several changes to the one that started last week in the draw versus Llanelli. The front row sees Taylor Hansen and Scott Evans pack down either side of Will Griffiths who starts at hooker. The second row sees Tom Lampard line up with a ‘new’ arrival in the form of Scott Andrews, who has re-joined Keys following a spell at Neath. In the back row there is another ‘new’ arrival with Ieuan Jones starting as he also re-joined Keys this week after a brief spell with Neath. He is joined in the back row by Garin Price and Joe Thomas. In the backs Will Kelly starts at full back as Leon Andrews moves in to the centre to partner Dylan Fidler. Wes Cunliffe starts on one wing with Ben Snell starting on the other wing and Owain Leonard starts at scrum half to partner Jason Tovey outside him. On the bench prop Richard Cornock will make his 300th competitive appearance for Keys should he come on and Gary Carpenter could make his return from a knee injury if he comes on.
